The Free King Highwaye terrain piece

These are terrain pieces I started this weekend. They are 1/2 inch pink board on the top and sides held by 3 core pieces made up of 1 inch pink board. Used 1 1/4 and 2 inch drywall screws to construct and filled with caulk. They are solid enough to do pen and paint work on. I will glue the edges once I finish them.
I etched the brick work with pen and the pavers on top with a shallow cut using an xacto knife then etching with a pen. A rolled up ball of aluminum foil across the sides and top to increase the texture then base coat of mars black acrylic to kill the pen ink color.
I painted almost a dry brush of  titanium white for the brick and pavers. Will be staining with greys, browns and greens to finish.
The rounded edge on one piece fits into the concave of the other, so I can angle the wall to increase the table placement options. We will see if it works.

Piece 2 in progress

Piece 1 awaiting stains.

The best thing about working with foam is adding to it is pretty easy.
I anticipate adding some columns on the sides of the walls and perhaps an access tunnel.
