Started a terrain piece.

A kitchen remodel has held me up for a couple of weeks. I made a few terrain pieces out of some packing foam but I didn't finish them as I didn't like the size of the beads. I won't throw them away and may make use of them as some scatter terrain.
I got some 1/2 inch pink board (use to working with that from model railroading) and started a larger piece to fit on the table.. cut the pattern, light sanding on the tops, white glue and then 1.25 inch drywall screw to hold in place. I angled them where I went thru only two layers so the ends wouldn't poke thru.
I have lots of ceiling paint left over from kitchen and that should make an excellent first coat to seal the foam.

Increasing the graveyard population

I've been painting a little at a time in the mornings and evenings all this week, and most of the results have been graveyard creatures. I have a lot of those sets to paint and I want to get some practice on those before starting my slayers set.

The wraiths were painted awhile back but I painted up some werewolves, skeletons, zombies, mummies, and pumpkin headed scarecrows.
The witch hunter was definitely outnumbered so I painted an explorer armed with a shotgun and a chainmail clad fighter to lend a hand. I'm counting the explorer's nose as an npc, (its gigantic) so that makes 4 against the horde.

I've used the amsterdam inks for all the painting with the exception of a few wood pieces that I used golden high flow acrylic sepia and I preshaded some of the figures with vallejo white and black. I've been sealing with liquitex matte varnish - really impressed so far with the results of that product.

Our Heroes are not having a good day!

Mummies and zombies to the rear, skeletons to the front, werewolves on the right flank, and wraiths with pumpkin headed scarecrows covered behind the wall.

The witch hunter, fighter and Bob "The Nose"

I would sum up the situation as "Bleak".

A few more figures, some background hills and trees, and some paint on the backdrop and it'll be time for some skirmish play testing.

Graveyard set up

Still painting some old structures and accessories and some of the walls need to be dry brushed. I'll add things on to the table once they are finished, but am trying to make it a rule to not add any figures in until they are painted and SEALED!
I'm going to try some different arrangements with playability and picture taking as the highest priority. Once I get something thats workable I will map it so it can be put back on the table in the same way. I also lost some table space as I decided to try to bend the backdrop and it actually stays in place well even though I lose the back corners. Curved backdrops are great in pictures so it will be staying.
The mummies are Blue Moon and the witch hunter (one of my personal favorites) is from Splintered Light.
